Travail Pilgrimage
A 9-month cohort for men learning to follow Jesus toward wholeness in identity, calling, and daily life.
Travail Pilgrimage FAQ
-
Travail is for men in their twenties and thirties who recognize their lives are starting to drift or lack direction. Work, faith, relationships, and routines keep moving, yet purpose feels thin or scattered. Travail is a nine-month brotherhood for men who want their lives to come together—learning to follow Jesus in the real world by choosing direction over drift and attention over distraction. It is a shared walk over time, shaped by honest conversation and lived practice, culminating in a pilgrimage on foot—marking a turn toward a life that is no longer accidental, but chosen.
-
The cohort meets locally in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
Specific location for the bi-weekly gatherings is TBD.
The culminating pilgrimage will take place in various locations each year.
-
Over the course of nine months, you’ll walk through seven movements — from awakening to vocation — with brothers committed to the same path. Together, you’ll build the habits, language, and strength to carry faith into every part of life.
The 9 Months Includes:
Bi-Weekly Gatherings: Guided spiritual direction, Scripture, reflection, and conversation that connect life in Christ to daily work and relationships.
Brotherhood: A small circle of men committed to honesty, prayer, and walking together through real challenges.
Retreats: Two 2-day retreats for rest, reflection, and recalibration.
Pilgrimage: An multi-day walk along a historic pilgrim’s route — a journey of gratitude, endurance, and renewal.
Rule of Life: A simple rhythm of prayer, work, rest, and service shaped over time through shared practice.
-
Tuition: None
Note: While there is no current tuition, all participants are responsible for sharing costs associated with the retreats (typically $100-$200 per retreat), and are responsible for the costs associated with the pilgrimage (varies depending on location).
