Travail Pilgrimage FAQ

  • Travail is for men in their twenties and thirties who refuse to drift. Men who know faith isn’t meant to decorate life but define it. It’s for those weary of comfort and hungry for something real — a life shaped by obedience, endurance, and love. Travail calls men to wake up, take up their cross, and walk together in the hard but holy work of becoming truly human as Christ was truly human.

  • The cohort currently meets locally in the Phoenix, Arizona area, with the hope of eventually launching additional cohorts in other cities.

  • Over the course of nine months, you’ll walk through seven movements — from awakening to vocation — with brothers committed to the same path. Together, you’ll build the habits, language, and strength to carry faith into every part of life.

    The 9 Months Includes:

    • Weekly Gatherings: Guided spiritual direction, Scripture, reflection, and conversation that connect life in Christ to daily work and relationships.

    • Brotherhood: A small circle of men committed to honesty, prayer, and walking together through real challenges.

    • Retreats: Two 2-day retreats for rest, reflection, and recalibration.

    • Pilgrimage: An 8-day walk on the Camino de Santiago in Portugal and Spain — a journey of gratitude, endurance, and renewal.

    • Rule of Life: A simple rhythm of prayer, work, rest, and service shaped over time through shared practice.

  • Cost: TBD

Note: We aim to keep program costs to a minimum, with the primary expense being the participant’s pilgrimage to the Camino de Santiago—travel, accommodations, and food typically totaling around $2,000.

  • Applications open approximately 6 months in advance of the next Travail Pilgrimage. Individuals who have completed the Travail Interest Form will receive email notification when applications open.

Applications close when slots are filled or 30 days before the next Travail cohort begins.

  • Applications for Travail are thoughtfully reviewed by the Travail Leadership team. If helpful in the discernment process, the team may reach out to applicants to schedule one-on-one conversations.
